I would meet them.

I've met plenty of people through Facebook so I wouldn't be scared. As long as I know they're a real person and have mutual friends or proof that they're real, I'd meet them. I can't even count on my fingers how many people I've met not only from Facebook, but also MySpace, and MMO's. I am perfectly capable of meeting with people safely. I don't put myself into shady situations. If I don't have enough information about the person, or meeting them in a public place I wouldn't meet them. Of course I would talk to them for at least two weeks before I would even consider meeting them in person. Meeting people can be dangerous if you don't do it safely.
